3. Do you only build in Bayside and South Eastern suburbs?
Primarily, we do, but we also build down the Mornington Peninsula. We are also acreage home builders. We work on projects outside and around these areas so give us a call and tell us about your project.

You can speak directly with Wayne Stewart from consultation stage and right throughout construction. Our clients find it reassuring that the owner of the company is in control of their project from initial concept to completion.

6. Can we live in the house whilst our home renovation or home extension is being completed?
This is a very common question, and usually depends on the extent of work, and the layout of your home. We can advise what the most practical approach to this is, but in most cases, living in your home during your home renovation or home extension, is possible. We make every effort to minimise any inconvenience to you and your family. Our professional team is always courteous and considerate; after all it is your home!
7. Will the building site be kept clean and tidy?
Absolutely. Our job sites are kept at a high level of tidiness, with regular clean ups and rubbish removal happening throughout the construction period. This makes for a more pleasant and safe work environment for our team, and in the case of a home renovation or home extension, ensures the safety and comfort of our clients who remain in their home.
8. What do you personally give your client that is different to other builders?
Complete peace of mind- a premium home builder is a true professional and a perfectionist. (I know some of our team will say Wayne is ‘just a bit too fussy’.) For our clients to enjoy the building process, we are always on the ball, so you know that everything is being taken care of.

9. Are your prices expensive?
No, our prices are extremely competitive. We have been in this business for over 24 years, and we would not be around today, if our prices were too high. We have low overheads, and also a longstanding relationship with our major suppliers and subcontractors, so our prices are accurate. We do emphasize that you get what you pay for, and some builder’s prices may seem cheaper at first glance, but often they are not quoting on the same level of finish, so caution is needed to avoid the building nightmares that appear in the media.
10. Do you provide any other services to make our new home, home extension or home renovation unique?
Wayne Stewart Builder has access to an array of talented specialists and we provide all of the required services, to construct your new home, home extension or home renovation, but we have found that many of our clients desire to make their home truly unique. To assist with this, we can provide extra assistance for example with a comprehensive Colour Consultancy or advice on Smart Wiring (CBUS).
11. Do you use a fixed price contract?
Yes. We will provide you with an HIA fixed price contract, and detailed specifications. If you change your mind during the build, we use a Variation to Contract document to vary the contract price and specifications. This is an extremely easy (and legal) way to offer our clients flexibility in selections, and we use variations in almost every build.
